Lead sources

TikTok lead source

3 min readtiktok-source

Reach creators and brand accounts by hashtag or keyword.

TikTok has the highest email hit rate of our social sources (~50%) because creators put contact emails in their bio for brand deal inquiries.

How to run it
  1. /searchTikTok card
  2. Hashtag or keyword — leave off the leading #, we strip it anyway
  3. Region keyword (optional) — filters against the creator's region field (ISO code or country name)
  4. Bio keyword (optional) — match against the creator's signature/bio
  5. Follower range (min / max)
  6. Verified-only toggle
  7. Require email toggle
  8. Number of leads
What we extract per creator
  • Username (@handle)
  • Display name + nickname
  • Biography / signature
  • Follower count, likes count, video count
  • Verified flag
  • Region
  • Extracted email from the bio via regex (looks for common formats, excludes noreply/postmaster junk)
  • Latest video URL (for context)
How the scrape works

TikTok doesn't have a profile-search API, so we search by hashtag and get back videos. Each video has an embedded authorMeta blob with all the creator data we need. We dedupe by username and return unique creators — so one hashtag query typically returns 30-50 videos but 15-25 unique creators.

Tips
  • Hashtags beat keywords#dentist returns better results than dentist because hashtags reach opted-in content
  • Follower range matters — creators with 10k-500k followers have the best response rate. Below 10k they're not monetising yet, above 500k they're overwhelmed by outreach
  • Require-email toggle is your friend — ~50% of creators have emails so the filter cuts results cleanly in half, but you don't burn credits on the other half
When TikTok is the right source
  • Brand deal outreach — creators actively list contact emails
  • Product seeding — creators want free stuff in exchange for content
  • Consumer product marketing — reach the 18-34 demographic where TikTok lives
  • Food, fashion, beauty, fitness, entertainment verticals
When TikTok is wrong
  • B2B enterprise sales — TikTok creators are rarely decision makers at companies
  • Local service businesses — most don't have TikTok presence
  • Niches over 45 years old average audience — they're on Facebook
