Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: June 6, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs your use of the FlowMaticX platform. By using the Service you agree to comply with this AUP. Violations may result in immediate account suspension, content removal, or termination without refund — and may be reported to law enforcement where warranted.
1. What you may NOT do
You agree not to use FlowMaticX to:
Email abuse
- Send unsolicited bulk email (spam) in violation of CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR, or local anti-spam laws
- Send email without a clear sender identity, unsubscribe link, and physical address
- Send messages containing malware, phishing links, or deceptive content
- Email anyone who has explicitly requested not to receive messages from you or FlowMaticX
- Use purchased or rented email lists uploaded to FlowMaticX
- Harvest email addresses from personal accounts (Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc.)
Scraping abuse
- Scrape personal data unrelated to legitimate business purposes
- Bypass robots.txt, rate limits, or access controls on third-party websites
- Attempt to extract data from paywalled or login-protected content you don't own
- Scrape data for the purpose of stalking, harassment, or doxing individuals
- Use FlowMaticX to build competing lead databases for resale without an Agency plan
Platform abuse
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent rate limits, credit deduction, or plan limits
- Share API keys or account credentials with third parties
- Run multiple free accounts to extend free credits (alt abuse)
- Use automated scripts to create accounts or generate artificial usage
- Intentionally overload our infrastructure, including denial-of-service attempts
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system without prior written authorization
Illegal and harmful content
- Any activity that violates applicable local, national, or international laws
- Content that is defamatory, obscene, or violates intellectual property rights
- Content that promotes discrimination, violence, or illegal activities
- Content related to child exploitation (zero tolerance — will be reported to NCMEC)
- Cryptocurrency scams, Ponzi schemes, or fraudulent investment offers
- Pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing spam, or “get rich quick” offers
Competitive misuse
- Use FlowMaticX to build a directly competing service
- Scrape FlowMaticX's own website, documentation, or marketing content
- Benchmark FlowMaticX for public comparison without prior written consent
2. What you MUST do
You agree to:
- Comply with all applicable data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) when using scraped data
- Honor unsubscribe requests from recipients within 10 business days
- Maintain an up-to-date suppression list and respect opt-outs
- Use verified business email addresses only for cold outreach — never personal emails
- Include clear sender identification and a valid unsubscribe link in every email
- Provide truthful information about your business and offerings
- Notify us immediately if your account is compromised
3. Cold email best practices
While FlowMaticX provides the tools to send cold outreach, you are responsible for the content and deliverability of your messages. We strongly recommend:
- Personalize every message — use the AI-generated icebreaker and reference something specific about the recipient
- Keep it short — cold emails under 150 words perform better
- Stay on-topic — only contact businesses relevant to your product
- Warm up your domain — never blast 1000s of emails from a new domain
- Honor replies — respond to unsubscribe requests within 24 hours
- Set up SPF, DKIM, DMARC on your sending domain
Poor cold email practices hurt everyone's deliverability. Repeat spam complaints may result in account suspension even if technical abuse has not occurred.
4. Enforcement
FlowMaticX investigates reported AUP violations on a case-by-case basis. Consequences range from:
- Warning — first minor offense, documented in audit log
- Feature restriction — temporary loss of scraping or email features while we investigate
- Account suspension — account locked pending resolution (no refund for suspended time)
- Termination — permanent account closure with no refund
- Legal action — for severe violations (fraud, hacking, illegal content)
5. Reporting abuse
If you believe someone is violating this AUP — for example, you received spam sent via FlowMaticX, or your business data was scraped without consent — report it to abuse@flowmaticx.com. Include:
- A description of the incident
- Evidence (email headers, screenshots, URLs)
- Your contact information (kept confidential)
We investigate every abuse report within 48 hours and respond with the action taken.
6. Opt-out / suppression requests
If you are a business that has been scraped by a FlowMaticX customer and you do not want your business contact information stored or used for outreach, you can submit a suppression request at suppression@flowmaticx.com. We will remove your data from our platform-wide suppression list within 10 business days, and it will not be re-scraped.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email and in-app notification at least 14 days before taking effect.
